Environment: Netvibes Google Calendar Widget by Phil version 1.5 on IE8 with 1280x800 screen resolution and Netvibes layout set to display 3 vertical boxes of equal width. Browser is maximized. Problem: Set Calendar widget in Month view. In the environment described above, the calendar displays a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the widget that is almost, but not quite the full width indicating the calendar is just a few pixels too wide for the 3-up Netvibes columns. Click any event on the calendar. The event pop-up bubble is truncated on the right side preventing the full bubble content from being viewed. For example, the pop-up close box is truncated in half by the right margin of the widget. The pop-up has a scroll bar also but clicking either the bar (to grab and move it) or scroller's right arrow causes the pop-up bubble to disappear. Also, Comments Feed not valid or not responding: http://eco.netvibes.com/rss/user/13905/widgets/comments

I cannot get the calendar to display using Opera browser. After I add the HTML address and "add" widget it goes to a blank screen. Any suggestions? Thanks - BB

Could you possibly add the "showPrint=0|1"-option to the java script? Don't need it in the gadget but I can't deactivate as long as your javascript does not support this option.

oh yes. i use it on the vista sidebar.It is a .gadget file. Where else can i use it? On klick the render Calender shows and works all fine. I only can`t insert my own html link. Thank you for your help.

thanks for your fast answer. 1. I found the link to my calender. 2. I have to copy the link in the first field, after hitting the edit button on the widget on this page?! am i right? Then i have to download the gadget?! Because there is no edit-button on my sidebar gadget like there is one on the calender-widget on this page. I tried downloading with Firefox, IE7 and Opera and the gadget still says:"You must set a Html link.." Perhaps i can add the html link manually in the code, if you tell me where to put it. Thanks a lot!

@mekk: the html link should be add in the first field of settings, when you click on the "edit" link at the top of thr widget... To find your HTML link : http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37103 Have you try to remove and reinstall the widget? Wich navigator do you use? IE, Firefox, ...?

Sorry. Where do i add the html link? If i klick on the settingsbutton next to the gadget i can`t insert anything.In the gadget files i don't know where to insert my calender-link. So is it a bug or am I too stupid to set this gadget up:) ? Thanks for your help

Wonderful widget, except every so often it'll add "Formula one Championship 2008" to my list of calendars, which will then screw up the time zone or something. This really oughta be rectified, as I rely on this widget something fierce.

Me again! I am having the same problem as before but in the opposite direction: I flew back to France and I can not switch the local time from Eastern Time to GMT+1 in the widget (and this time the problem did not solved by itself without me doing anything)...

Hi, I have no clue why it's not working. I "edited" the gadget, entered my google calendars' html addresses, everything is fine in the preview. But if I install it to my Vista Sidebar, all I get is the "Formula Championship 2008" calendar. What can I do??

Y a-t-il un moyen de modifier le fuseau horaire dans lequel s'affichent les évènements ? (Je suis actuellement aux Etats-Unis. Mes comptes netvibes et google sont réglés sur le fuseau horaire GMT-5 (côte est)). Pourtant le widget m'affiche les évènements dans le fuseau Paris, GMT+1...)

Bonjour, Philippe Ton extension est plutôt pratique. Mais, j'aimerai pouvoir voir mon calendrier privé sans avoir à me connecter à chaque fois. En lisant ce que tu présente, il semble que ça ne soit pas possible. Mais, lorsque je vais sur l'URL de mon calendrier privé sans être connecté, il semble que ça marche, mais, ça ne fonctionne pas dans ton extension... Hi, really love the extension, but just a couple of questions :) 1. Is there anyway to have an automatic height? I only ask because I often only have one or two items in the calendar so it doesn't make good use of the space. 2. Anyway to remove the padding from agenda view? The blue border thing, likewise with the bit at the bottom with the timezome and a link to the calendar. Thanks :)

I have a Google apps calendar also, and it displays when I have an appointment, but it only displays it as "Busy". I get no event details.

I'd also like to be able to use more calendars. I use GCal with Remember the Milk, so RTM takes up 2 calendars on its own; one for adding new tasks, and one for task due dates.

But, it's not currently possible to embed multiple private calendars and allow non-Google Calendar users or folks who aren't logged in to see those calendars.

Keep in mind that it's not possible to display a private calendar and a public calendar in the same embeddable calendar.

Hello, great widget, one of my favourites, second only to facebook. I was just wondering if you're going to include a fix for the multiple public and private calendars. At the moment all I have is one private personal calendar which works fine and then the google public holidays one, which doesn't work with my private one. If not is there a way to cover the public to a private? Cheers, great work.

Hey P: Lovely widget you've made. Unfortunately, I can't make it synch up with my Google calendar. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I use a Google calendar at work, using a non-Gmail domain account. I tried to drop the URL of the calendar into your widget but none of the events migrated. Very very frustrating. Maybe I should go back to chalk on a slate. Still having problems with dates. Sometimes an appointment is displayed correctly, sometimes an appointment is displayed as +2extra, +1 extra. Using Firefix or Internet Explorer doesn't make any difference. Anybody having the same problems?

I get it to work fine on my Netvibes page because I can edit the settings and set the HTML link. But when installing the Vista gadget it gives me no settings to edit and only shows the Rugby World Cup calendar.

Im using a theme (dark one) but this widget doesnt use theese colours so it looks kind a bright compared to the rest of my netvibes page .... What about a function to not see the time in the calendar ?

The calendar works - or more accurately, fails -- in the same way on http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper.html, where it is also in an iframe. Without that functionality, the google calendar is just not the same.

LW : your calendars are public or private? Multiples calendriers only works if all your calendars are publics... It's a bug or limitation of google...

thanks for this great module. only problem I have is I can't get it to display more than two calendars. it won't paste in a third calendar url, and when I typed one in the space, it didn't show up and when I looked back the url was somehow erased. any ideas? thanks

It works wonderfully, but there is one glitch when I use a calendar from a google-hosted account. Our work email is hosted by google, so it's still gmail but the url is slightly different (mail.google.com/a/ourdomain.com/ ...etc). The events appear, but all the times are 7 hours early. We're in the US Pacific time zone (GMT +08:00). Is there any way I can tweak this into working?

thank you for this widget. i have a single problem with it, which seems an easy one to solve, yet i've been unable to. i am in the eastern us time zone. my netvibes is set "est" and my google calendar is set "est", yet when i schedule a time on my calendar it shows up 6 hours later on my widget. any simple solutions staring me in the face here? tia, rrose

Salut! Je trouve ton module super mais je rencontre un petit problème... J\'arrive à visualiser mes 2 agendas dans le module, ce sont des agendas privés et j\'ai mis les URL privées. Par contre, dès que je ferme Firefox, puis que je retourne sur Netvibes, j\'ai le message : \"Désolé, l\'accès public n\'est pas activé pour cet agenda. Si vous êtes le propriétaire de l\'agenda, accédez à la page des paramètres de partage pour le rendre public.\" et il faut que j\'aille sur google calendar, et hop ça marche ... Evidemment, j\'aimerais que mon calendrier s\'affiche automatiquement :) Merci d\'avance si tu peux m\'aider à résoudre ce dilemne et encore bravo pour ce module (vivement le choix des couleurs !!)

Hello, your module is amazing and it works great for me. Thank you for your work. One suggestion, I love the new feature of different colours for different calendars, but it is not the colour I would like. Can I somehow choose from several colours for a calendar, like in the Google interface? Anyway, I have tried several GCal modules, and yours works just right. Thanks again.

I just saw that you created a new version to fix a \"huge bug\" and I thought it would address my problem, but it didn\'t. This is a fantastic widget. However, the calendar will only show my information if, in another tab, I go to Google Calendars, see my stuff, shut down that tab, and refresh Netvibes. I'd love this if I could do either of these: use week view (currently you can only choose month or agenda view) or select a limit for the agenda view. The agenda view pulls every single thing on the calendar including holidays. Otherwise, I love this module.

Hi Tullm, I had the same problem until I read Philippe's message. Just supress in the URL all the format settings. And now its much better, the format of the calendar will automatically fit to the size of the widget.

Hi, have a problem with this nice tool. I can enter the HTML-URL and i can see my calendar. but when i close the page and reopen netviebs i have a error code in the module " Bad Request 400". Then I can go into the option and just klick save and i can see the calendar! Whathappens here? Thank you TUllm

Sorry, no way to change the display of the time ! I use this Google service : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper_en.html and the date format is not modifiable. But you can ask Google to add this parameter ;-)

This is the Google Calendar module to go with, especially since it works with private calendars. On My Calendars, click the drop-down menu of the calendar you want to view, and select Calendar settings. In the Private Address section click the HTML link, then the Configuration Tool. In the code that's generated just copy the http part up the semicolon ";" before height.
